The Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Applied Engineering are seeking to fill a full-time (100%) vacancy for
Doctoral scholarship holders in the areas of electron tomography and electrocatalysis
The vacancy is situated within the research project entitled Innovative three-dimensional electron microscopy to boost the catalytic activity of core-shell nanostructures. In this project, the combination of advanced aberration corrected electron microscopy and novel three-dimensional reconstruction algorithms will be used as a ground-breaking new approach to quantify the structure AND the composition for highly promising nanomaterials that can be used for electrocatalysis. More information on the project can be found at following weblink:
This PhD is a collaboration between the research group Electron Microscopy for Material Science (EMAT) (https://www.emat.uantwerpen.be) and the research group Applied Electrochemistry & Catalysis (ELCAT) (https://www.uantwerpen.be/elcat).
